Role Summary & Duties and Responsibilities:
Role Summary
The IP Security Sr. Engineer is responsible for all Mobile IP Core network operations, in addition to Information Security projects and activities across the corporate. Moreover, he is responsible for Risk Management in IT and Network and coordinating with Enterprise Risk Management team and Top Management for the same purpose.
The IP Security Sr. Engineer is responsible for all Mobile IP Core network operations, in addition to Information Security projects and activities across the corporate. Moreover, he is responsible for Risk Management in IT and Network and coordinating with Enterprise Risk Management team and Top Management for the same purpose.
Duties and Responsibilities :-
-Leading IP Core network operations and maintenance activities.
-Implementing and operating Core Network Security systems.
-Managing all IP Core network related projects and enhancements.
-Monitoring IP Core network performance according to Telecom KPIs and in alliance with Performance team.
-Following up with IP Core network vendors for all CSRs, upgrades, and enhancements.
-Leading all Information Security projects.
-Implementing Risk Assessments for Core network and IT nodes.
-Managing all network and IT risks whether related to Information Security or business continuity and coordination with related people.
-Performing internal audits to ensure adherence to Information Security best practices.
-Develop and maintain Information Security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
-Managing Information Security and IP Core network annual budgets and long term strategies.
-Performing maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.
-Following up with Ooredoo Group Information Security team and aligning with their goals, projects, and other requirements.
Experience & Qualifications:
-Minimum 7 years of experience in IP networking environment, preferred in mobile telecom.
-BSc degree in Computer Engineering/ Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
-Working experience/knowledge of networking vendors: Redback, Juniper, Cisco, Extreme, etc….
-Minimum 5 year of experience in Information Security and Network Security.
Skills:
-Good knowledge in GSM technology.
-Strong Communication and organization skills.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Proficiency in Arabic and English (Oral & written).
-Computer latency knowledge.
